Silent Hill 5 will be released on the Sony PlayStation 3 and the Microsoft Xbox 360, though a release date has not been made final. Akira Yamaoka, famed producer/composer of the Silent Hill series speaks with Music4Games at the E For All Expo. He talks about his approach to composition, and how he composes with his fans in mind. With Silent Hill 5 being developed by a Western development house, it's an interesting time for Yamaoka. Best known for doing the soundtracks for the Silent Hill video game series, Akira recently released an album of non-Silent Hill material, which sounds nothing like his Silent Hill material. It's up for debate whether that's a god or a bad thing.
